A little history
In 1887, Jay is running cattle in the Big Valley bottoms and serving as sheriff in a dubious central Texas county. Before that came the Kansas trails, two years with the Rangers, and a night at the Platte crossing that earned him the name Bison Jay.
At the range today
Trail Notes follows Bison Jay’s experiences as a cowboy action shooter. His firearms and gear are on the Loading Table, with a Shooting Ledger for match results. For the cattle drives and the sheriff’s star, start with The Story.
Work in progress: the first Trail Notes are drafts, and the Shooting Ledger contains sample entries.
